MORE TOUCHES, MORE CONDITIONING, MORE FUN
Dedicated To Our Athletes, Families and the Sport of Volleyball
We strive to provide a comprehensive athletic experience in a positive and fun environment. It is the objective of the Pacific Rim Volleyball Academy to stress preparation, fundamentals and teamwork within the concept of good sportsmanship. The primary emphasis on education, training (Academy), and competition (Club) are the key components utilized to achieve our objectives.
Pacific Rim Volleyball Academy is dedicated to providing athletes of all ages with the technical, tactical and physical training, to reach their highest potential. Pacific Rim will assist each and every athlete to achieve maximum performance through proper training and nutrition education. As the player progresses through the program, we will provide the path for athletes to test their abilities, in order to reach their highest potential. Through private lessons, and the opportunity for year-round skills classes, athletes of any age or level can learn and improve the skills needed to gain a competitive edge. For those athletes with limited playing experience, we will help develop solid fundamental skills, as well as a passion for the sport. Our advanced training, for junior levels (12th grade & below), will provide athletes the opportunity to excel at becoming elite players in preparation for high school and/or collegiate volleyball.
Within our core values is the determination and commitment to be one of the best and most recognized Junior Volleyball Clubs in Northern California. We pride ourselves on the commitment and dedication to the sport of volleyball.
Our focus is to provide our players with guidance and coaching that will allow for skill improvement and development. We tailor our individual skill work based on the player, as well as the age/skill level.
We feel that teamwork is needed in all aspects of life. Volleyball is a team sport, in which every member contributes, whether they are on or off the court. We encourage and coach our players to focus on their team contributions.
We are committed to providing a sportsmanlike environment for players, parents, and coaches. We are devoted to teaching and conducting ourselves with fairness, courtesy and respect to all competitors, referees, and others.
We believe that providing a competitive environment will strengthen our member’s drive to become the best they can be, both as an individual and as a team player.
This a function of knowing yourself, having a vision that is well communicated, building trust among your team players, and taking effective action to realize your own leadership potential. We provide an environment for our players to exercise their leadership qualities, at whichever level they may be.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT PACIFIC RIM
ONE OF THE TOP CLUBS IN NORTHERN CALIFORNA
Formed in August of 2010, the Pleasant Hill-based club burst onto the scene by going undefeated locally and making good showings at state and national tournaments.
Erik Stordahl, SportStars
To show they’re not kidding around, Pacific Rim’s 14U squad won another prestigious tournament after winning the NCVA tournament, the Southern California Volleyball Association (SCVA) regionals. That victory secured another national bid, just for kicks.
Erik Stordahl, SportStars
The Pacific Rim Academy is a new/old venture for Worsley, who brings a wealth of experience from his job as technical director for Stanford University men’s volleyball program to the one-year-old club.
Lou Fancher, Contra Costa Times
It is pretty well known how much we respect what you do and see the influence of your club on our pipeline and we are really excited about the possibility of that impact on some of our National Teams going forward.
